Philosophy                  I take photographs because I love it! I love the things I see. I love the way the colors make me feel. I love the places I’ve been that I’ll always remember. I can’t get enough of the flowers each spring. Color motivates me.

Style                            Outdoor and Natural History in both black and white and color.

Technique                    Works with 35mm color negative film. (Cannon equipment) Negatives are scanned and digital files are created. These file are processed through Photoshop to create the images we see. Images are printed on highest quality paper and pigmeninted inks for an archival print that will last many years. This process returns many years of rich colors, crisp sharpness, and luminosity.

Background                 At the age of fourteen Rick Roth was a published photographer, but did not pursue his photography career. He followed in the family business of floral distribution. Here he learned about business and developed a deep love of flowers, and their life enriching capabilities. At age forty five Rick left the floral business and began to pursue photography on a full time basis.
